So today was the first day to start practicing with the new camera.My initial reaction was one of shock when I realized that this was going to be a very long learning process.The manual alone is 300 pages so I have a lot of home work to do.I think the hardest thing for me was getting used to the focus as I am trying to do it manually.This made it really hard when my first subjects where children!
Overall I am thrilled with the new camera and at he moment its become a permanent piece of jewelery around my neck.

We had a great time playing with the kids and I cant wait to do it all again!

Yay! Your camera finally came! Good luck reading the manual. Maybe there is an online video tutorial that you can download instead.
I, on the other hand, took the plunge and bought a SEWING MACHINE! I am so nervous that I want to bite my nails! I have NEVER touched one before and now I have to teach myself. CHeck your emails, Casey - I will be emailing you for some pointers!
